When I first moved in, I had two major problems with my apartment - it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, and there was weird dust floating everywhere. Both problems were resolved quickly by staff, who were very pleasant when they saw the problems for themselves. Overall, the staff here is pleasant and helpful.
My apartment is a top-floor unit facing West Broad Street and Hull Street. There is some traffic noise from West Broad, but the only problems are when some kid without a muffler races by. There is also a frat house on Hull Street that likes to throw big parties on Thursday nights. That sometimes gets highly annoying, but it's not the noise from the Georgia Theatre on the opposite side of the building, so I know the noise could be a lot worse. My unit is the perfect size for a single person and I'm very comfortable here. I have a small balcony, so I can open the balcony doors in warm weather. There is a lot of natural light from my windows. I'm quite lucky because there is only one other unit beside me - the bedroom side of my unit backs up to a stairwell, which isn't often used, so I don't hear much noise from neighbors except when I'm in the corridors.
The biggest issue for me, aside from the frat house noise, is the hot water. It runs out very fast. I have a tub in my unit and if I fill it up for a bath, I'll run out of hot water before its full. That's kind of frustrating.
